At a time when we all need more laughs they’re certainly coming thick and fast in the city with Steve Royle one of many top comedy stars heading to Peterborough.

Having proved a huge hit on Britain’s Got Talent 2020 with hard to please judge Simon Cowell describing him as “naturally funny” and David Walliams describing his routine as “one of the funniest performances I’ve ever seen” – Steve’s taking the stage at the Key Theatre in Peterborough on Thursday October 14.

His performance in the final of the TV talent show left the judges breathless with laughter and saw him voted into the top three by the public – even comedy royalty Peter Kay has called Steve “A brilliant comedian” so he’s certainly not one to miss as he sets out on his debut tour.

If you saw him on the show you’ll know he gives a brilliantly unique performance so it’ll be an evening packed with a crazy mix of stand up, slapstick and comical routines for all ages.

As well as being a finalist on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent, Steve is an actor, writer, comedian, juggler and Gillard Award winning presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire.

He performed as part of Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights Live show at The Manchester Arena and has supported some of the UK’s top comedy talent on tour including Peter Kay, Dave Spikey and Roy Walker.

He’s also appeared in a string of hit comedy TV shows including Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy’s Road To Nowhere, Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got The Pop Factor… and Stand Up Britain and his acting work includes The Things You Do For Love and Magnolia, and the title role in the national tour of the critically acclaimed Naturally Insane: The Life of Dan Leno (which was due to premiere in the West End before lockdown happened). He was featured on the Granada TV Programme Behind The Scenes and That’s Entertainment and was voted Entertainer of the Year at the inaugural Red Rose Awards.

So grab your tickets quick for his new show - The (Steve) Royle Variety Performance - at the Key Theatre in Peterborough on Thursday October 14, call the box office on 01733 207239 or book online at: www.vivacity.org/theatres/vivacity-s-key-theatre/
