CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG IS FLYING HIGH AT THE CRESSET IN PETERBOROUGH

It’s time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with an amazing production by Peterborough Operatic and Dramatic Society (PODS) at the Cresset… and it’s flying high!

This incredible show runs this week through until Saturday October 26 and is a ‘truly scrumptious’ musical for all the family!

PODS are the talented team who brought us 9 to 5 and Hairspray so you know this is going be great and with a flying car, what’s not to like?!

It’s based on the much-loved 1968 film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang but even if you haven’t seen the film, we know you’ll love this show.

An eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts, sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. But they soon discover the car has magical properties and can take to both the seas and the skies. Join them on their wild adventure as they take on the evil Baron Bomburst who spots and wants the magic car for himself and of course the villainous child catcher.

You can sing along to all the classic songs from the film plus there’s plenty of rip-roaring dancing, musical sparkle and of course that magical car that flies before your eyes!

Tickets are £21.50, concessions £19 and family tickets are also available so snap up yours now on 01733 265705.
