There’s a great chance to shop locally and get some of your Christmas gifts in the bag as Peterborough Cathedral’s popular Christmas Craft and Gift Market makes a return in November.
It’ll be packed with dozens of stalls but timed entry will keep the queues down and visitors well spaced.
It’s the ideal way to find something a little different with a unique range of items on sale including hand crafted jewellery, glassware, wooden items, painted silk scarves, vegan soaps, bamboo socks, candles, soft toys, Christmas cards and homewares; not to mention honey, gin and fudge!
You can visit the market at a choice of sessions starting on Friday November 19 from 10am until 5pm and then from 6.30pm until 9pm and then on Saturday November 20 from 10am – 5pm.
The market stalls will be spread over a wide area within the Cathedral to allow plenty of room to shop without jostling with a crowd. There will also be a one-way system in place and entry times will be staggered to avoid over-crowding at busy times. The Cathedral has good level access, so is ideal for anyone shopping with a pushchair or a wheelchair.
Just book a timed entry ticket in advance to minimise queuing and then spend as long as you like at the market.
Tickets are £2 per person, with under 16s free of charge (booking still required). They can be booked via www.ticketsource.co.uk/peterborough-cathedral. Any remaining tickets will be sold on the door.
