Star of Cold Feet and the Fast Show, John Thomson, officially launched Christmas at Springfields turning on the outlet centre’s festive lights (October 26).
The TV star told ESP this was the only lights switch on he was doing and was delighted to be there.

The St. Paul’s Community Primary School Choir entertained the crowds followed by Peterborough singers, Classical Reflection.
The twins Naomi and Hannah, who appeared on The Voice, have gone from strength to strength since then and this was another great performance by the girls.

Kev and Roz from Heart breakfast hosted the stage entertainment and chatted with John before the centre’s beautiful white lights and decorations were switched on in front of a packed crowd.

It was a busy day at the Spalding outlet shopping centre with the new Betty Barclay store opening in the morning – the largest in the UK and rugby legend Phil Vickery dropping in to officially launch the Raging Bull menswear store in the afternoon.
Late night shopping starts on November 15 at the centre with the shops open on weekdays until 9pm.
Don’t forget the Black Friday bargains on November 24 running to November 27.
The Christmas Grotto opens on November 25 through until December 24. Cost per child is £7 including a pressie from Santa.
Next up is the centre’s huge firework display on Thursday November 2 set to hit songs from musicals of stage and screen.
