CRESSET PANTO ON SALE NOW… OH YES IT IS!

Believe it or not you can now book for this year’s panto at the Cresset and there’s already a big demand for tickets!

The Cresset’s production of Beauty & the Beast in 2013 was a runaway success, with record breaking ticket sales and outstanding reviews. So no surprise that the team at the Bretton based theatre are wasting no time at all in announcing their festive offering for this year, the magical Aladdin.

It’s the first time since 1998 Aladdin has been the Cresset’s Pantomime, and the first  time producers Premier Pantomimes have put the show on in Peterborough.

Phil Parker, Cresset Chief Operating Officer told ESP – “We’re all thrilled to be doing Aladdin this year, it’s a really fresh title for us, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Premier Pantomimes can do with it. I’m hearing exciting talks about sets, costumes and flying carpets already! We really wanted to offer something new and magical this year, and I’m sure Aladdin won’t disappoint.”

Expect all the usual pantomime thrills and spills, with song and dance, magic and mayhem as Aladdin and his friends Widow Twankey and Wishy Washy embark on a fantastic adventure, and our hero falls in love with the beautiful Princess Jasmine. A star cast is yet to be announced, with open dance auditions taking place later in the year.

Show Director, John Newman added – “Pantomime is essentially about family, and that’s the one thing we try and remember when putting on a show. Are the kids going to love it? And are the parents going to be able to afford it? By keeping this in mind we end up with a fantastic family friendly show which is still completely affordable and accessible for anyone who wants to come along.”

Aladdin runs from Friday December 12 to Tuesday December 30 with a total of 31 performances including a special accessibility performance with loads of additional wheelchair spaces and ticket deals for large groups with disabilities. So there’s no reason why everyone shouldn’t be able join the magic carpet ride!

Tickets for Aladdin go on sale  today (Friday 7th February) and are great value with prices frozen until 31st August. To book go online at www.cresset.co.uk or call the box office on 01733 265705.
