DEEPING VENUE BRINGS BACK GIGS WITH NEW OUTDOOR STAGE

A local venue’s created an outdoor stage to bring live music back to the Deepings.

We’ve missed live gigs in and around Peterborough and we know you have too so it’s great to see several local pubs and bars being creative about how they can get the tunes played live again.

Over at the Iron Horse Ranch House, they’ve used lockdown to build a new riverside garden space featuring a new purpose built seating and stage area. This multi use space will also see the team offer riverside dining along with live bands and the return of their long standing bike nights.

The first night saw popular local punk band The Expletives and Cosmic Rodney rock the new stage and Richard Swinscoe, owner of Iron Horse Ranch House told ESP – “It’s fantastic to be back open and we have enjoyed welcoming customers new and old back through the doors again. The team have worked incredibly hard to build something we are very proud of, we still have some work to do but we are getting to where we want to be.

“Safety is our main priority for staff and customers, we want everyone to feel safe and have a great time. The events we have had so far have been well received and we have had fantastic feedback from customers that have enjoyed the new norm.”

Customers can now safely enjoy the Iron Horse venue in their new riverside seating area, inside the main restaurant or even from home as they’re using Just Eat.

Richard added – “We have been in the Deepings for 12 years now and we are doing everything we can to bounce back from lockdown to ensure we are around for the future when normality returns. We thank every single customer that has supported us so far, it really means a lot to us.”

Everyone’s keen for a safe night out so the team haven’t stopped and are working hard to put together a series of socially distanced and covid secure events throughout the rest of the summer. We can look forward to bike nights and shows, drag quiz night, acoustic Sunday sessions, soul afternoon and of course there will be rock.
