ESP’S COLUMNIST JUGGY BRINGS YOU HIS TOP 3 PODCASTS

ESP’s new columnist Juggy is usually out an about getting your views on various topics for his features #GettingJuggyWithIt.

As winner of BBC New Voices he secured a weekly slot on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire called Upload so he has an ear for entertainment, and while he’s at home he’s been listening out for the best podcasts to keep you amused.

Welcome to a new feature I’m doing online for you all during lockdown… This is to give you my top three suggestions of things to keep you motivated and most importantly to occupy you, while we all stay at home!

Next up, we all need something positive to listen to, so here are my Podcast suggestions.

Top 3 Podcasts:

  1. That Peter Crouch Podcast – Peter Crouch, Tom Fordyce and Chris Stark with their guide on how to be a professional footballer. Episodes include insight on everything from dressing rooms, transfers, keeping on the good side of your manager and where to sit on the team bus – plus footballer confessions. They usually record it in a pub but didn’t for the latest episode but still managed to capture the essence of that, perfect for football fans and anyone that’s missing going down the pub with mates.

  2. Grown Up Land – “Now I’m a grown up… do I have to get married? Do I have to scrimp and save? Do I have to host a dinner party? “ GrownUpLand poses the most frustrating questions. Luckily, Sophie Duker, Heidi Regan and Ned Sedgwick are here to guide you through the bewildering pursuit of adulthood. Light hearted, they do fun challenges, give useful facts and share personal stories…

  3. My Dad Wrote A Porno – Imagine if your dad wrote a dirty book. Most people would try to ignore it – but not Jamie Morton. Instead, he decided to read it to the world in this groundbreaking comedy podcast. With the help of his best mates, James Cooper and Alice Levine, Jamie reads a chapter a week and discovers more about his father than he ever bargained for. Massive hit, so much so that they have toured this before. Really funny and just what is needed at a time like this.

The Ultimate App To Keep You Entertained During Lockdown

TikTok… Heard of it?

It’s the new app that is overtaking Instagram as the biggest social media platform in the world right now. After becoming a viral craze in Asia, TikTok has made its way to the UK and is being used right now as the perfect antidote to get rid of those lockdown blues.

It’s a free app to download and is described as a social media platform for creating, sharing and discovering short music videos, think Karaoke for the digital age. Celebrities are all over it at the moment doing the TikTok dance challenges and lip syncing to iconic movie and TV scenes. It’s a great way to be creative, active and have some family fun during isolation.
