The Fayre Spot pub at The Cresset in Bretton reopens this weekend after a £250,000 refurbishment.

Well known as a live music venue it’s no surprise they’ll be throwing a big party with Citizen Smith helping customers celebrate the great new look and layout on Saturday February 10.

Over the last 25 years The Fayre Spot has been a thriving community pub, as well as being popular with customers attending events within The Cresset. ESP dropped by for a sneaky peek behind the scenes while the huge transformation was underway and we can’t wait to see the end result.

Everything is now on one level with gorgeous wood panelling and new decor, there’s a better designed bar area, new seating and increased capacity for drinkers and diners.

Sports fans will be catered for with a larger big screen, pool table and new darts board. There’s an area for live music and dancing and last but certainly not least… lovely new loos!

Penny Hansen from the Cresset told ESP – “We’re delighted to be able to invest in The Fayre Spot this year as part of our ongoing improvement plans. The pub forms such an important part of The Cresset, and the local community, that it’s really exciting to be able to carry out a full refurbishment and really bring it up to date.

“It’s open 365 days a year, and from 9am Monday to Saturday, with a great food and coffee offer as well as a bar. This refurbishment will certainly be appreciated by the customers, and we look forward to welcoming new visitors as well.”

Join them this Saturday February 10 for the big reopening and party with Citizen Smith performing live to make sure the celebrations go with a bang and check out the transformation of this great community pub.

Look out for the pub’s regular gigs in the ESP Gig Guide each month and on this website.
