Dobbies at Hampton is holding plenty of green fingered activites in celebration of Chelsea Flower Show…
It’s that time of year again when the country’is gearing up to eat, sleep and breathe all things gardening and what better way to get involved than to join a week of celebrations at Dobbies Garden World Peterborough.
As people up and down the country mark the 100th anniversary of Chelsea Flower Show, customers are invited to the Dobbies Garden Festival, a week-long celebration running from Tuesday May 21 until Monday May 27.
The week is packed full of fun activities for all the family including; daily gardening workshops, flower arranging demonstrations, foodie tastings, strawberry planting and kids entertainment ranging from flower sponge art to a gnome treasure hunt. Customers will also have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the week.
Michelle Stretton, General Manager, said: “With everyone preparing to celebrate 100 years of Chelsea Flower Show, we thought we would bring the celebrations to our garden centre and treat our customers to a week of fun-filled activities for all the family to enjoy.
“Having won numerous awards at Chelsea Flower Show we are well placed to offer expert advice and tips on how to grow award-winning plants and flowers. Customers will also be able to take advantage of our award-winning deals to help them get their very own Chelsea-look.
“With workshops, free food samples and fabulous prizes on offer, we are sure you and the family will reach festival fever pitch.”
On the evening of Thursday May 23, between 5pm and 8pm, customers will also be able to enjoy a sparkling refreshment and will be treated to strawberries dipped in chocolate on arrival, to help get them in the celebrating mood!
Throughout the week, Dobbies Garden World Peterborough will be raising vital funds for its local charity partner, Guide Dogs for the Blind.
