Dive into a Monster Sunday this weekend with a free family film screening in Peterborough.
Families are in for a fin-tastic treat as Peterborough Positive teams up with Peterborough Cathedral to present a free big screen family film event on Sunday August 18, from 4pm to 6.30pm in Cathedral Square.
Dubbed 'Monster Sunday', you can immerse yourself in Peterborough Cathedral’s fantastic Monsters of the Sea exhibition before settling down to watch animated family favourite Finding Nemo.
Pep Cipriano, Chief Operating Officer at Peterborough Positive, said: “We're excited to be hosting our very first family film event in the heart of the city centre. By partnering with Peterborough Cathedral, we're creating a unique family experience that combines culture and entertainment. Monsters of the Sea has captivated visitors all summer and we're thrilled to extend the adventure into Cathedral Square.
“In addition to the exhibition and our big screen film, the team at St John’s Church will be hosting a summer concert on St John’s Square from 2pm until 4pm. There’ll be a DJ and live bands and bringing a picnic is encouraged. It’s a perfect Sunday in the city centre where you can enjoy the cathedral exhibition, listen to music while having a picnic and watch a film in Cathedral Square.”
The event includes a free face painting and glitter bar, to transform little ones into their favourite sea monsters and add extra sparkle to this jaw-some afternoon of fun.
Seating is available on the day on a first-come, first-served basis.
