If you’re keen to dine out again and make the most of the Eat Out to Help Out offer there’s an extra perk as charges in a Peterborough city centre car park have been lifted during the scheme.
From now until August 31 it’ll be free to park in the Car Haven from 5pm to encourage diners to make the most of the offer and support the city’s restaurants.
The decision to relax car parking charges at the council owned car park has been made to help city residents enjoy an even cheaper night out, as part of the Government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ campaign.
The campaign encourages people to dine out, by offering a 50 per cent discount when they eat in restaurants that are registered with the national ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme. It applies every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday through until the end of August.
Signage will be in place at the car park to reassure residents that the car parking charges are relaxed during these evenings.
It’s been good to see so many local restaurants, pubs and eateries in and around the city take part in the scheme with the likes of the Brewery Tap, EAST, Charters, Tap & Tandoor, Pizza Parlour and many more getting involved as well as places such as Orton Hall, The Fayre Spot at Bretton, Holiday Inn West, Harvest Barn farm shop cafe and Origin8 Cafe at Sacrewell Farm showing how diverse it is.
