GATEWAY FILM FESTIVAL


The Gateway Film Festival, now in its 5th year, continues to be an exciting annual event for families, film enthusiasts and budding local filmmakers.


The 2023 programme runs from October 17 - November 13.


Festival Director, Emily Steele-Dias says, "We’re excited to be back for a fifth year showcasing some exciting films, live events, workshops and more.”



Highlights of the 2023 programme include...



Right in the Eye - French Live Movie Concert

£5-8, 7pm, Wednesday November 8 @ St John’s Church, Peterborough


A magical live movie concert in which a trio of musicians are almost a show in themselves, as they conjure music from an extraordinary array of instruments alongside the fantastical and whacky films of Georges Méliès. Great fun and suitable for all ages!



The Wicker Man presented in collaboration with Dissected Cinema.

£5, 8pm, Friday November 10 @ The George Alcock Centre, Stanground


50th Anniversary Screening of the iconic cult classic, The Wicker Man. The film is a masterpiece of folk horror cinema, a mesmerising blend of eerie atmosphere, captivating storytelling, and unforgettable performances. Set on a remote Scottish island, the film follows a police sergeant's investigation into a missing girl, leading him into a world of ancient rituals and chilling mysteries.



Student Film Showcase 2023

FREE, 6 pm, Monday November 13 @ UCP


Enjoy a range of short films as local students showcase their passion, dedication, and hard work. Whether you're a film enthusiast or simply curious about the next generation of filmmakers, this event is not to be missed!
