If panic is setting in about what to buy for Christmas, everyone loves a little treat so ESP’s Health and Beauty columnist Emily Rawlinson has gathered together some suggestions for those last minute gifts…
This Christmas definitely feels different to any I have had before but I can’t wait for some time to relax, eat and spend time with my family.
If you’re like me and you’ve hardly started your Christmas shopping, then fear not, below is a little guide to some amazing last minute present ideas for everyone!
At Home Spa Hamper
This is one of my favourite things to put together as a gift. If there is anyone you know who works hard and rarely has time for themselves then this is a great idea and can be adapted for whoever will be receiving it.
Start by finding a wicker basket or hamper kit which you can place your items into. You’ll then need some shredded and normal tissue paper and some cellophane to wrap it all up with a few bows to finish it off.
Things you can include; face/hair mask, hand/foot cream, movie, book, their favourite snack/chocolate and drink, slippers/fluffy socks, hot water bottle, quote cards, bath bomb/soak, perfume, etc.
This can be tailored so easily for men, women, your Auntie, Nan, Brother, you just have to make it personal to them. Try and go to one shop that has everything like a large supermarket as then you can get it all in one go.
Above is a photo of the one I made for my best friend’s baby shower which is baby themed with a bit of everything she would need.
The infamous Mrs Hinch is also seen on her Instagram making someone a ‘Hinch Hamper’ with all the best cleaning products!
Healthy Herbs
If you know someone who loves cooking or is just starting out then why not make them their very own herb garden? This is simple to do, all you need is a herb box which you could either make yourself or buy at your local garden centre, some plant/terracotta pots to fit and some herbs for them to grow.
You can write out some instructions to go with it along with some herb signs and voila. a thoughtful gift which isn’t out of stock everywhere and is a gift that will last them a long time and that they can reuse over and over again.
Letterbox Gifts
Letterbox gifts are great for any of your family and friends that live far away and you’re worried about something getting delivered ok. They do what they say on the tin and are letterbox sized, meaning even if someone is out, their present can safely be delivered through the letterbox. You can find a whole range of these on Etsy or Not On The High Street and there are all sorts of themes and price ranges to choose from. You can also get some posted very quickly meaning if you have little time, this may be your best option!
A date in the New Year
Everyone has missed out on so much this year and it would be great to all look forward to something fun when hopefully life returns back to some normality.
If you’ve not been able to see someone much this year, or at all, then it would be great to plan something dedicated to a day out with them which you can all get excited about. This could be a relaxing spa day, mini lodge break, a picnic when the weather is better, a trip to a theatre show, whatever floats your boat.
Not long until the Christmas nails!
I am so excited to get my nails done for Christmas. Currently I have a new shade by Halo called ‘Sage’ along with one of their gold glitters. I am so green at the minute that my Christmas nails will also be green… I think I’ve watched The Grinch too much.
Along with my Christmas nails I’ll also be doing a Spend Vs Splurge mini series so you know what to buy in the Boxing Day sales if that’s something you like to do each year.
