You can travel the world at a new event in town this weekend that will be perfect for food lovers in Peterborough.
Charters bar might be well known for its ales but over the bank holiday weekend the bar is hosting its first ever International Food and Drink Festival.
It’s all being held in their fabulous newly extended Beer Garden – seriously, it’s huge! Just head down on Saturday April 30 or Sunday May 1 from 12 noon until 8pm and indulge in some unique cultural food, drinks, and desserts from around the world.
Good news is it’s free entry and the chance to try delicious dishes from around the world, prepared by local businesses.
A spokesman from Charters said - “We hope this will be the first of many annual food festival events here at Charters, and our goal is to offer something new and vibrant to the people of Peterborough. In running this event we also want to support and positively promote as many top quality small local businesses as possible!”
It’s not just about the food though, there’s a packed weekend of free entertainment lined up too.
On Saturday there’s daytime music from 2 - 8pm with Eclectic Ballroom and then live music from 10pm with Generation 5pan.
On Sunday enjoy a chilled afternoon 12 - 3pm with Jazz Underground, then live solo music from Dan Poole from 3pm – 6pm followed by Urban Sessions playing the tunes into the evening from 6pm till late.
