KEY BRINGS BOLLYWOOD TO THE BORO

The Key Theatre have dedicated their Spring Season to providing Peterborough with some of the most innovative creative companies the UK currently has to offer – and this month they’re bringing in Bollywood!

On Tuesday March 12 the theatre plays hosts to a modern-Mumbai masterpiece: Kanjoos – The Miser. The production is by the UK’s foremost South Asian theatre company, the critically acclaimed Tara Arts, and TV funny-man Hardeep Singh Kohli (Celebrity Masterchef, The Wright Stuff and The Nearly Naked Chef).

The company are renowned for bringing global theatre to local audiences, and have built up an impeccable reputation through their co-productions with the Royal National Theatre whilst also launching the careers of Ayub Khan Din (EastEnders), Sanjeev Bhaskar (The Kumars at No 42) and Naveen Andrews (LOST). Kanjoos – The Miser features some of the best in British South Asian acting talent including Antony Bunsee (Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Sex and The City 2) who plays the flea-sucking miser, Harjinder.

Comedy, love, lust, greed, dance and magical Bollywood music are the ingredients that make this a must-see show.
