Get ready for a party as the nation’s favourite variety show is back.
That’ll Be The Day is all about nostalgia and live entertainment, reflecting the music and tone of an era that changed the course of music history and youth culture forever, and is a huge favourite with Cresset audiences.
The show was established on the cabaret circuit in the late 1980’s and began playing regional theatres in the early 1990’s. Having delighted audiences throughout the UK for over two decades, That’ll Be The Day is back on the road thrilling audiences with more hilarious comedy routines and classic gold hits from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s!
Despite performing as many as 230 shows a year to capacity audiences across the UK, Trevor Payne (who created the show back in 1987!) still directs, produces and stars in the production today. Trevor rewrites the material for the show for each tour and over six months is taken in planning and preparation – culminating in a month of intensive rehearsals before the show once again takes to the road with its new offering every year!
That’ll Be The Day is renowned for its work with worthy causes, particularly BT Childline and most recently Help For Heroes. The show is delighted to have raised over £150,000 for the charity so far, which was set up for British soldiers wounded serving their country.
But most of all, it’s a fun night out! Fantastic music, hilarious comedy routines and an unbeatable feel-good atmosphere make this a tremendous night of entertainment.
Catch it here on Sunday March 9 – tickets are £25 from the Cresset box office: 01733 265705.
