Summer’s definitely coming – The Lido outdoor pool re-opens on Saturday May 24!
It’ll be opened by the Mayor at 10am and there’ll be free swimming during the opening day so let’s hope it’s nice and sunny!
The Lido offers great outdoor swimming facilities, including a large heatedOlympic size 50m pool, a shallow learner pool and a paddling pool for toddlers.
Families can relax on the large sunbathing terraces, play inthe three heated pools and park area and enjoyhot and cold food at the Lido café.
With fun music for all the family we have a great range of summer event days including the fun inflatable sessions with giant blow up zorbs and boats, a brilliant fun session not to be missed!
This great Art Deco style pool was officially opened by Councillor Arthur Mellows in 1936 and is one of the few remaining outdoor pools of its era in the country.
Summer 2014 sees the Lido in its 78th year of operation which was enjoyed by over 22,000 visitors last summer.
Prices Day entry to the Lido is£4.90 for adults and £3.20 for children. Day entry for a family of four is just £12.50or£22 with food (includes a burger and a drink each). An adult summer pass for July and August is £60.
Entrance to the Lido is free to some Vivacity gym members and discounted with some Vivacity cards, please ask staff for details.
Opening times Daily 9am-6pm (during May and June) Daily 9am-8pm (during July and August) with an early swim on Sundays from 7.30am.
