MANIC STREET PREACHERS TO PLAY PETERBOROUGH


Manic Street Preachers have announced a massive summer 2022 outdoor show at Peterborough Embankment.


The iconic rock band have headlined countless festivals including Glastonbury, T In The Park and Reading Festival and will take to the stage in Peterborough on Sunday June 12.


It will follow a huge concert by Simply Red on the Embankment the night before bringing a fantastic weekend of live music to Peterborough.



Manic Street Preachers are synonymous with 90’s alternative rock and their loyal fanbase will get the opportunity to see them in Peterborough as they perform iconic hits such as Motorcycle Emptiness, Design For Life and Everything Must Go, as well as UK no.1 hit singles If You Tolerate This Then Your Children Will Be Next, and The Masses Against The Classes.



With 14 studio albums to their name since 1992 debut Generation Terrorists, including recent official UK no.1 smash The Ultra Vivid Lament, released in September last year, Manic Street Preachers remain a force to be reckoned with.


Their uncompromising approach to music and life has won them an army of fans and continues to deliver groundbreaking tunes. They have won eleven NME Awards, eight Q Awards and four BRIT Awards and were also nominated for the Mercury Prize and the MTV Europe Music Awards.



The Embankment has been the venue for several big concerts and thousands of music fans are expected to flock to this one as the Manics are sure to deliver a gig to remember.
