NEW CHICKEN DISHES AT LOCAL WETHERSPOON

Four Wetherspoon pubs in and around Peterborough are now serving a selection of char-grilled chicken dishes.

The College Arms in The Broadway and The Draper’s Arms in Cowgate, both in Peterborough, as well as The Ivy Wall in New Road, Spalding and The George Hotel in Market Place, Whittlesey, are offering on the menu British-farm-assured chicken, served on the bone, marinated, slow cooked and finished on the char-grill.

The half-chicken is served with either a lemon and herb glaze, with coleslaw and a garlic and herb dip or with a hot and spicy Naga chilli and citrus glaze, with coleslaw and a Sriracha hot sauce.

Both meals, served with a choice of chips, spicy rice or salad, are priced at £7.99 with a choice of soft drinks and £9.29 with an alcoholic drink from the range on offer.

Customers can also add to their meals, from a selection of chicken wings (£2.50 for a portion of five) as well as spicy seasoning to their chips.

The Draper’s Arms pub manager, Christopher Parkes, said: “We strive to offer our customers the widest choice of meals.

“We believe the char-grilled chicken dishes will be a great addition to the food offering in our pub.”
