If you’re considering a new autumn look a Peterborough hair salon is aiming to make you turn heads this season!
Hot off the heels of making Paralympian medal winner Lauren Steadman look fabulous at the National Television Awards, Steadman & Co at the Peterborough One Retail Park near Eye are building a great reputation locally for expert colouring.
Tips for the new trends are creamy ash blondes and copper tones to take you into the autumn months looking amazing.
Lovely long locks are still hot and the salon team have proved they know how to make the most of your tresses with some incredible colouring techniques to really make your hair colour and cut stand out.
Launched just before lockdown last year Steadman & Co had got off to a great start when like all salons they were forced to close for several months, but since then the salon has gone from strength to strength and has expanded its services this year adding more beauty treatments and more stylists.
Even the salon itself has a had a bit of revamp with a stunning new mirror from Gamma Bros in Italy making a real impact as you walk in and they’ve introduced a new online booking system.
Steadman & Co has been welcoming some new members to the team and owner Ellen Steadman told ESP – “I think it’s important to recognise that every salon works hard and each hair stylist has their own creative flows.
"I have solely tried to focus on my own strengths and implement these into my salon, and recreate the kind of salon I would like to visit and get my hair done in. Therefore, I have tried to create a higher end, full experience salon, where hopefully clients feel as though they’ve escaped for a few hours from daily life, and have entered into Steadman & Co to relax, feel refreshed, pampered and rejuvenated.”
If you need a bit of a pick-me-up Steadman & Co certainly offer a variety of hair and beauty services so you can feel as though you’ve had the full works and Ellen is focussed on every detail to make the experience perfect.
“I chose the colour scheme of the shop to help create a luxury, quality atmosphere, and the final touches to the salon were thought through and attention to detail was given even to the smallest things.
"We worked with a company Pallet Project (based on the South Coast), to create all our styling stations, reception desk and more from recycled pallets, and then upcycled them into quality salon furniture!”
The salon has been full on since the hair and beauty industry was allowed to reopen but continues to focus on client safety and they’ve enhanced their covid procedures to include an automatic sprayer to disinfect the whole salon after each and every client.
This young entrepreneur isn’t sitting pretty on her initial success though, Ellen is always thinking of the future to make her business stand out – “We continue to train in the latest trends and products. e invest in the best products in the industry especially those that maintain the integrity of our client’s hair, using L’Oréal Metal detox and Olaplex. We are concentrating on our ever-growing demand and to train all our staff and apprentices as they are the future.”
Ellen says the response to the salon has been fantastic – “So far, all our clients have left our salon feeling fabulous and refreshed – so hopefully we’ll continue to gain momentum and new clients. Pop in and say hello to us, Ellen, Vicki, Chelsea, Natalia, Jade and Millie, Hayley and Emily our Beauty Therapist.”
