PERU TO PADDINGTON. NEXT STOP – QUEENSGATE!

Exciting news, we’ve been told that the charming bear from darkest Peru has packed up his suitcase, buttoned up his duffle coat and made a fresh batch of marmalade sandwiches ready for a trip to Peterborough: Paddington Bear is coming to Queensgate Shopping Centre!

On Thursday July 30, Paddington Bear will be making personal appearances during marvellous story time sessions, led by a narrator, taking place in Central Square at intervals between 12pm until 4.30pm. Little ones are invited to join in, laugh, sing and shout as they listen to tales of Paddington’s exciting adventures exploring the world. Plus there will be opportunities to take photos, so don’t forget to bring a camera.

The adventures don’t stop there! Have a go at Paddington’s Treasure Hunt throughout the day. Children can collect a postcard from the Information Desk and follow the clues to find five hidden paw prints around the Shopping Centre. Write the colour of each one down on the postcard and return it to receive a special certificate!

The Paddington Bear story time sessions will take place at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm on Thursday 30 July. The treasure hunt is open from 12pm-4pm. All activities on the day are free of charge.

There is even more Paddington fun in the John Lewis toy department throughout the day with activity worksheets and goody bags for the first 50 children to take part. Don’t miss the competition to win a one of two Booted Paddington Bears; look out for details in store to be in with a chance.
