A scattering of fairy dust has sprinkled across Peterborough as Peter Pan has opened at The Cresset with performances running until December 31.

You’ll find oomph, pomp and plenty of innuendo galore – plus a few famous faces to boot – during this season’s panto.

We all know the timeless tale about the boy who never grew up; Peter Pan whisks Wendy, Michael and John Darling to Neverland, where they encounter a host of popular characters including Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys and Pan’s nemesis, Captain Hook.

And the rest, as they say, is history. Or in this case, ‘oh no it isn’t’!

This fun-filled family favourite will have you singing, dancing, tapping, jumping, bending and booing – all in the space of a couple of hours.

Our swashbuckling baddie, Captain Hook, is played by Kevin Kennedy, better known to soap fans as Curly Watts from Corrie.

If you watch Hollyoaks, you may recognise James Fletcher as Peter Pan and Vera Chok, who appears virtually on screen as sassy fairy Tinkerbell.

Of course, in pantoland the audience is never short of surprises. The Lost Boys are now called the Lost Kids and Peter Pan can do a brilliant back flip while suspended in the air.

To discover what other surprises are in store, you’ll have to book a ticket and find out for yourself.

Peter Pan is a swashbuckling show that should be top of your Christmas list!
