The charismatic King’s Singers will soon be taking to the stage here in the city…
Peterborough Sings’s ambitious Big Names concert series has put the Broadway Theatre firmly back at the centre of the city’s cultural scene, bringing a diverse mix of internationally renowned musicians to work and perform with Peterborough Male Voice Choir, Peterborough Voices and Peterborough Youth Choirduring their highly successful residency at the iconic venue.
Hot on the heels of a sell-out concert with the world famous Black Dyke Band in April, the city’s award-winning choirs are delighted to be welcoming the double Grammy-Award winning King’s Singers to perform with them at the Broadway Theatre on Saturday May 30.
The King’s Singers are a global phenomenon. Their work represents the very best in vocal ensemble performance and appeals to a vast international audience: among Britain’s greatest musical exports, they sing over 120 concerts annually to capacity audiences around the globe, touring regularly to Europe, the United States, Asia and Australasia.
Expect everything from jazz standards to pop chart hits, mediaeval motets to Renaissance madrigals and of course the fantastic sounds of Peterborough’s own choirs.
