Strike a pose, share the love and do your bit for charity at Queensgate Shopping Centre this Valentine’s Day with the Kidney Research UK ‘Tunnel of Love’ photo booth.
The people of Peterborough are invited to bring their loved ones down to the Shopping Centre for a fun Valentine’s Day photo in aid of Kidney Research UK. Hop into the ‘Tunnel of Love’, dress up in glorious accessories and take a picture to remember!
Help to raise awareness of kidney disease and share the love by tweeting your picture with the hashtag #ShareTheLove and tagging Queensgate Shopping Centre and Kidney Research UK. The photo with the most retweets will win a romantic meal in for two, courtesy of Marks and Spencer’s Food Hall.
Hannah Wysocki, Community Fundraiser at Kidney Research UK, said: “Kidneys come in a pair, so why not bring your other half down to our romantic event and #ShareTheLove this Valentine’s Day in Queensgate. Take a pic in our ‘Tunnel of love’ photo booth and your donation will help Kidney Research UK continue to fund life-saving research into kidney disease.”
Every year, over 55,000 people are treated for kidney failure. Founded in 1961, Kidney Research UK funds research into causes, prevention and treatment for kidney disease, as well as raising awareness. Kidney Research UK is Queensgate Shopping Centre’s Charity of the Year.
Sam Eastwood, Centre Director at Queensgate Shopping Centre, said: “Raising awareness of kidney disease is such an important cause and we are honoured to be a part of it. It is imperative that a cure is found, and with the important work of Kidney Research UK and the generosity of the public, we are contributing towards that goal.
“With something as simple as sharing a photo, we can get people talking about this awful disease and ensure that the public continues to give generously and support vital research.”
Kidney Research UK will also have Valentine’s gifts available for purchase in return for a small donation.
