RECTORY FARM KITCHEN CAFE

We love venturing out to different cafés and catching up with friends over coffee and cake. Recently, we popped back to Rectory Farm Kitchen, nestled away in the Northamptonshire countryside. It has become a regular meeting point for us.

This small independent business is just 15 minutes outside Peterborough, on the outskirts of Warmington village near Oundle and it’s becoming a popular stop-off point for many judging by how busy it was. The café is really well situated for country walks and is also located along a popular cycle route (perfect for burning off their gorgeous cakes!).

Rectory Farm Kitchen boasts a bright and airy atmosphere, with a warm and welcoming vibe. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, always a plus point for us! The café is open seven days a week, offering breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea. These treats are so popular that they often sell out on special occasions like Mother’s Day – clearly a sign of their quality.

The food at Rectory Farm Kitchen is locally sourced whenever possible, ensuring freshness and flavour. During our visit, we indulged in a delicious warm steak baguette topped with fried onions and black garlic mayonnaise. And for dessert, we couldn’t resist a slice of their carrot cake accompanied by an ice cream milkshake topped with marshmallows.

Beyond the tasty food, we always enjoy browsing their lovely little shop. They feature local paintings for sale, unique gifts, and greeting cards. You can also take home some of their delectable treats.

Don’t forget – they also offer dog treats for our four-legged friends. And if the weather is nice, there’s an outdoor seating area – a perfect spot for enjoying spring days.

Rectory Farm Kitchen is located at Lutton Road, Warmington, PE8 6UT, and is open seven days a week. Food’s served from 9 am to 3 pm. They cater to vegetarians, vegans, and offer gluten-free options.
