Over two weekends, from August 15-18 and August 23-25 there’s a programme of family-friendly movies, timeless classics and action-packed blockbusters on the big screen, plus two literary stage productions by Chapterhouse Theatre Company.
Get ready to grab your popcorn and sit back, relax and enjoy a selection of evening outdoor cinema screenings. The movie lineup includes family-favourites Barbie and Trolls Band Together, musical sensations Beauty and the Beast, Bob Marley: One Love and The Wizard of Oz, timeless romance Pretty Woman, cult classic The Lost Boys and Bollywood action thriller Pathaan. Spread your blankets out on the grass in front of the big screen and enjoy the outdoor cinema experience!
Don’t miss out on the FREE screenings on Saturday August 17, courtesy of Gateway Film Festival, featuring the beloved animated adventure Tangled and the iconic concert film Stop Making Sense by Talking Heads.
For theatre fans there’s the chance to enjoy the timeless charm of two classic literary productions, brought to life with period costumes and musical scores, as Chapterhouse Theatre Company stage some wonderful open-air theatre. The talented cast will present the love story of Pride and Prejudice on August 15, followed by the heartfelt tale of Little Women on August 18.
There are early film showings at 5pm followed by the evening performance at 7.30pm
