SUMMER SUNDAYS RETURN TO CHARTERS

Music lovers in Peterborough have not too long to wait for the return of Charters’ Summer Sundays, a series of live music events hosting some of the region’s most popular acts.

The first Summer Sunday of 2014 will kick off at Charters, the UK’s largest floating real ale emporium, on Sunday May 25 with a performance from Chris Watson’s ‘Spirit of Hendrix’, and will continue every Sunday throughout the summer.

A line-up of the finest bands and artists from across Peterborough and surrounding areas will perform in the garden marquee. Charters, which has the largest beer garden in the city centre is the perfect location to enjoy an afternoon of great music, a selection of real ale and good food.

Gavin Polkinghorne, General Manager, told ESP – “Following on from the huge success of previous music events, we are delighted to provide the people of Peterborough a warm and friendly environment in which to relax and enjoy some free entertainment in one of the best beer gardens in the city. The atmosphere at the events last year was truly fantastic and we look forward to recreating such enjoyable events again this year.”

Summer Sundays are free and Chris Watson’s Spirit of Hendrix will take to stage in the garden marquee at 3pm. Other acts to perform across the summer include The One Eyed Cats, Latino Sound, The Gangsters and The Motor City Vipers… let’s get summer started!
