THE LIDO OPENS!

The Peterborough Lido will be officially opened for the summer season by the Mayor of Peterborough on Saturday May 25 at 9.30am, with the general public invited to attend.

In celebration of the opening day, Vivacity Culture and Leisure will be inviting residents and visitors to receive FREE entry to this historic building on the day.

The Lido offers three heated outdoor swimming pools, large sun-bathing terraces, a large grass lawn and playground, and with hot and cold food available from the new onsite café and eating area, the Lido is the perfect venue for a fun family day out.

Jamie Fenton, General Manager Swimming Pools commented – “We’re pleased to have the Mayor open The Peterborough Lido for another great summer season. We’d like to offer everyone the chance to try this fantastic outdoor swimming venue, which has been enjoyed by generations of city residents. We are offering free entry for adults and children all day on Saturday 25 May. We are also proud to be showcasing our new updated facilities and new onsite café, making it the ideal destination for a fun day out for all the family.”

Saturday May 25 is FREE for adults and children – normal admission charges will apply after this date:

•           Adults £4.80 (£4.30 with a Vivacity Card, £3.60 with a VivacitySportsPass and FREE to Vivacity gym members with a VivacitySportsPlusPass).

•           Children and concessions £3.60 (£3.10 with a Vivacity Card, £2.60 with a VivacitySportsPass and FREE with a VivacitySportsPlusPass).

•           Family tickets cost £10.50 for two adults and two children.

The Peterborough Lido is open Monday-Sunday from 9am-6pm. With extended hours from July 22 until September 1 when the Lido is open until 8pm each day.
