THIN LIZZY TRIBUTE NIGHT RETURNS

The annual music night dedicated to Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy is back in Peterborough on Saturday October 1.

The five band show this year is really something special as they bring you possibly their strongest ever line up for Dedication as the bands play in memory of Phil Lynott and Philomena Lynott.

The theme behind this year’s gig at the Parkway Club is based on when Thin Lizzy supported Queen on a North American Tour back in 1977 promoting their classic Bad Reputation album.

This year’s headliners will be Peterborough’s only Thin Lizzy tribute band, Lizzy On The Loose, who have been the backbone of many of the past 16 Dedication Shows in this and various line ups and again promise something really special.

The special guests this year are popular Peterborough band Last Minute Brigade (LMB) who will be playing plenty of Queen classics as they help recreate that 1977 tour alongside some classic rock anthems.

Black Rose (Society) from Northampton return again, playing a full 60 minute set. They wrote themselves into Dedication folklore 16 years ago, (for those of you who can remember show 4, the 20th Anniversary Show 2006 at The Cresset, Peterborough), when they played the whole of the last Thin Lizzy studio album from 1983, Thunder and Lightning, in its entirety plus a greatest hits set.

Also on the line up is new Peterborough band XX XII (2012) a rock covers band that will be bringing something VERY DIFFERENT to the show this year!

Last but certainly not least, opening the event and playing a full 40 minute set is one of Peterborough's newest and youngest talented bands, Upon This Rock, making their Dedication debut playing classic rock and pop covers.

There will also be a Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy memorabilia raffle. This includes a custom built Phil Lynott black Fender Precision Bass furnished with trademark mirror pickguard from one of the new sponsors, Jez Bush, Peterborough Guitar Tech (www.peterboroughguitartech.co.uk) and a unique Phil Lynott drum skin from sponsor Daral Brennan from Drum Skin Graphics (www.Facebook.com/DrumSkinGraphics) kindly donated and to be auctioned on the night.

All proceeds from the show this year will go to the NHS.

Tickets priced £10 are available in advance from Terry Naraine on 07796 250071, terrynaraine@hotmail.co.uk or direct from The Parkway Sports & Social Club on Maskew Avenue or on the door on the night of the show. Please get your tickets early to avoid any disappointment.
