Last chance to have your say on libraries, arts, heritage, and culture in Peterborough…
Peterborough City Council is currently running two consultations on proposals to change the funding for libraries, arts, heritage, and culture.
If the proposals go ahead, there will be an impact on services so you need to have your say if you have a view on the plans. You need to get your views in ahead of the consultation deadline though, and time’s running out.
The ‘Phase Two Budget Conversation’ consultation is asking for your thoughts on several budget proposals published by the council for 2015/16, including two which relate to funding for arts, culture and heritage. The deadline for comments is 5pm on Monday March 2.
A second consultation is underway to understand people’s views on a proposed new way of providing library services. This consultation is open for comment until 12pm on Friday March 20.
The consultations can be completed online by visiting www.vivacity-peterborough.com/haveyoursay or a hard copy can be collected from the Town Hall, Bayard Place, Peterborough Museum or any city library.
The council’s budget for the forthcoming year is set to be decided on March 4 at a full council meeting so if you feel passionately about these topics make sure you don’t miss the chance to have your say!
