TOLETHORPE OPEN AIR THEATRE LANCHES NEW SEASON

Writer's picture: ESP OnlineESP Online

A summer evening at the Rutland Open Air Theatre to see a production by the members of the Stamford Shakespeare Company is a magical experience.

We’ve been along before and can promise you it’s a great night out – you’re undercover but the actors perform on an open outdoor stage.

The fabulous garden overlooking classic English parkland is the perfect setting for the Rutland Open Air Theatre nestling in the grounds of the Elizabethan Tolethorpe Hall, just off the A1 near Stamford – and is also great for a picnic.

Throughout the summer months from June 2 to August 23 the Stamford Shakespeare Company will be offering two Shakespeare plays: ‘As You Like It’, ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ and their non-Shakespeare play, ‘Alice in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass’.
