TWO NEW STORES TO OPEN IN QUEENSGATE THIS MONTH!

There’s soon to be even more choice at Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough this Christmas, as two of its new retailers, Smiggle and Joules, announce their opening dates.

Smiggle, the Australian children’s stationery chain is expected to open its doors for the first time on Friday December 8 and British clothing retailer, Joules will follow on Wednesday December 13.

Since opening its first store in 2003, Smiggle has enjoyed rapid expansion, now with 90 UK stores. With branches across the world including New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, the store sells fun, fashion-forward stationery, bags, lunchboxes and drink bottles.

The 1,711.78 sqft (159.03m2) store in Queensgate is expected to sell its full range of bright and fun stationery plus office supplies, whilst creating local jobs in the area.

Joules, a well-known British high street chain with 108 stores, offers practical and colourful fashion clothing and homeware. It will occupy a space of 3,199 sqft (297.19m2) next to Smiggle on Central Square.

Centre Director at Queensgate Shopping Centre, Mark Broadhead said: “Smiggle and Joules are great new additions to Queensgate Shopping Centre and will further position Queensgate as a prime retail destination.

“We are experiencing more customers travelling to Queensgate from across the region, especially over the Christmas period, and our mix of fashion, beauty, technology, food, homeware plus our independent retailers in Westgate Arcade, make Queensgate a popular place to spend the day and shop.”

Queensgate’s Christmas shopping hours have started, giving customers extended hours and more flexibility to shop over the festive period. The shops are open until 8pm Monday to Friday and free parking from 5.30pm!

From 1 – 23 December:

Saturday – 9am until 7pm

Sunday – 10.30am until 4.30pm

Christmas Eve until Bank Holiday
