UNITE AGAINST DEMENTIA AT PETERBOROUGH MEMORY WALK

Memory Walk season is back helping to support more than 1,900 people living with dementia in Peterborough.

Alzheimer’s Society is calling on everyone across the City to unite against dementia, by signing up to this year’s walk at Ferry Meadows Country Park which is happening this Sunday September 15.

Peterborough United Football Club has chosen Alzheimer’s Society as their Charity of the Year and several Posh players will be taking part.

Get the whole family involved including your dog, tell your friends or colleagues to register or join as an individual and help walk towards one day finding a cure.

The walk will take place over two distances either a 2 km or 6 km route. The short route will follow paths around the lakeside and will be wheelchair accessible, although the event site is on grass. The long 6km route will take you further into the park. You’re advised to wear sensible walking shoes on the day.

There is a registration fee of £10 but anyone under the age of 16 will be free. Deadline to register is Thursday September 12.

Every penny raised through Memory Walk will help Alzheimer’s Society find a cure, improve care and support people affected by dementia – register now at www.memorywalk.org.uk
