The Peterborough Pride parade was a real highlight in the city centre last year but despite events being cancelled, you can enjoy a Virtual Pride throughout the week from July 6 – 11… come on, it’s time to party!
A whole series of fabulous events were planned to be held across Peterborough this month to celebrate Pride including an even bigger Pride parade and a street party but of course coronavirus meant it all had to be called off.
ESP has been a big supporter of the Pride events since the festival launched in the city in support of the LGBTQIA+ community and so we’re pleased to hear that all is not lost for what would have been the third year of celebrations.
The Embrace team along with Inclusive Peterborough have decided to bring you a virtual Pride on their social media group Embrace Events Presents that will be running from Monday July 6 through until Saturday July 11.
Brian from Embrace told ESP – “We go live every day from 4pm with our wonderful host Ritzy Crackers.
“Our online special guests are some of our line-up we were planning on having this year at the street party such as Tish Ewe, Electric Blue, Antie Eva, Linda Bacardi, Kristal Destiny, Teddy The Drag Queen, Hazel Nutts. Plus live DJ sets from the fabulous DJs Slinky Amy, Tragic Campball and new to our DJ team Alyssa Raynor.
“There will also be guest speakers, fun and games so there’s plenty going on for everyone.”
