WENDY'S ARRIVES IN PETERBOROUGH

Attention, Peterborough residents and food enthusiasts! Wendy's is opening its newest restaurant in Maskew Avenue on Saturday October 21 from 7am with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The much anticipated new restaurant will cater to all dining preferences, offering dine-in, take-away, and a convenient drive-thru lane.

From breakfast to dinner, you can indulge in Wendy's signature menu items, including the legendary Baconator, the mouthwatering Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and the scrumptious Frosty dessert, available in both chocolate and vanilla.

I was lucky enough to take a preview tour inside the popular eatery, where I tried the Baconator for myself, which is a half-pound of British beef with American cheese, six pieces of crispy Applewood smoked bacon, ketchup, and mayo. I can genuinely say that it was one of the best burgers I've eaten in quite a while.

This made perfect sense when I later found out that the restaurant gets it meat delivered fresh daily. After asking if that will continue moving forward, I was assured by a manager, "Of course. That's why our burgers are square - we don't cut corners!"

I could really taste that freshness, just as I did with my chilli cheese fries. It's what I imagine a delicious home cooked meal tasting like if my mum could actually cook (just kidding mum!).

For those who prefer to enjoy Wendy's favourites from the comfort of their own home, Peterborough customers will soon be able to order delivery through Deliveroo and Just Eat in the upcoming weeks.

So, join Wendy's this Saturday October 21 and experience the renowned flavours that have captured the hearts of millions. I can see why it’s one of the most popular chains in America.

Get there early as the first 50 customers will have the chance to win a unique Wendy's 'We Love Peterborough' t-shirt!
