A Peterborough street photographer’s had an overwhelming response in his search for some of the people he photographed – but is appealing for your help to find more.
Paramedic Chris Porsz has turned his photography hobby into a passion taking candid photos of local people and places charting the city’s social history for over 40 years.
He recreated some of his early photos in a successful book called Reunions which drew attention around the world when it was published in 2016.
Chris painstakingly located those people he’d originally photographed many years ago and where possible photographed them again in the same setting.
Now he’s on a mission to complete a second book and is trying to find several of the people he’s captured in the past.
Chris told ESP – “I’ve had an overwhelming response so far and I’ve done a dozen new ones in two weeks with six more in the pipeline!
“I need more help with some of the local characters that I am trying to find and reunite for Reunions the sequel.
“Some of these images have not been published before after 40 years.”
As well as Reunions, Chris has produced several other books of his photos which ESP has featured (and we think are great!) and the next one due to be released will be a timely tribute to the NHS which Chris has been a part of for years, working at the local hospitals and as a paramedic.
We’ve published several of the images of characters Chris is trying to locate in an album on our Facebook page so take a look and if see if you spot anyone (or maybe yourself?) here
If you recognise any of the people in these photos you can contact Chris Porsz on his Facebook page or through www.chrisporsz.com.
