To celebrate a summer of all things football, Queensgate Shopping Centre is hosting a Football Extravaganza, kicking off at 10am until 4pm on Saturday June 21.
Football freestyler, Dan Magness, will be attempting to break his next Guinness World Record in the Centre. He currently holds multiple world records and is going to attempt to break his own record for most consecutive football touches with the shoulders, which currently stands at an astonishing 340. This will be taking place in Central Square at 1pm.
Everyone is invited to have a go and take part in a host of football activities, including a Penalty Shoot-Out Competition where the fastest kick wins! There are five categories to include adults and children of all ages; the person with the fastest kick in each category wins a prize from one of the stores within Queensgate.
Stores across the Centre will be giving out freebies and offering prizes; look out for the Boost Juice Team, who’ll be handing out delicious samples of their favourite summer smoothies, Millie’s Cookies will be giving away samples of tasty cookies and there’ll also be nail painting so fans can adorn their nails with their favourite team’s colours or flag!
Dan Magness currently holds a number of world records, including; first person to juggle a ball for 24 hours, Adidas Trickstars Champion, first person to perform at the new Wembley Stadium and impressively juggling a ball 100,000 times at age 11. He’ll be showing off tricks throughout the day and helping those wanting to learn with helpful hints and tips.
Sam Eastwood, Centre Manager, said – “We are thrilled to have Dan breaking an official Guinness World Record at Queensgate. It’s going to be a very exciting day with so many activities taking place. Everyone is welcome to come along and watch, and of course join in!”
